~ Happy 17th Birthday Kamiki! (^o^)

I just love this boy ~ And today he turns 17! ^ 3^

Otanjoubi omedetou!

I discovered this great actor in Tantei Gakuen Q (two years ago I think?) I was immediately captured by his charming personality and cute voice. Then I found out he's the person who gave voice to the big baby Bou in Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi and Markel in Howl's Moving Castle - which surprised me so much xD He just had such a cute voice back then<3 (Of course it's also cute today, it's just become a little deeper ^^)

Then I watched him in the movies Little DJ ~Chiisana Koi no Monogatari~ and Yokai Daisensou, and I must say he's a really talented actor. To me, he never fails to deliver good acting as his roles always seem very convincing! But then of course he has had a lot of experience, as he actually started acting in the age of 6! :O Incredible! > w <
Then I bought the movie Zoo (short films adaption of Otsuichi's short stories) where he plays the little boy in So-far. He does a superb job at playing the young naive son of two parents whose marriage is breaking apart, and especially in the scene were the parents fight, his tears make your heart ache >o<,

Then I've watched him in the TV special of Ruri no Shima where he plays the 'new boy' in town. Very cute story ^^ Right now I'm watching him in his drama Aikurushii from 2005 (where he was only 12!) and it's just such a touching drama~ His voice was so light and clear, it's almost insane xD Just too cute for my own health – Haha! The drama has a lot of other great actors such as: Hongo Kanata, Oguri Shun, Ayase Haruka, Ichihara Hayato, Ohgo Suzuka, Sawajiri Erika, Takenaka Naoto and more! ^O^ Amazing huh? :D I can definitely recommend it! ^ ^
As I mentioned in my last post, he's going to voice the boy Shu in the new Ghibli film: Karigurashi no Arrietty (which then will be his third role in a Ghibli movie to date! :O) I simply can't wait to watch this movie, especially as he will be working with Shida Mirai (also one of my favorite actresses~) ^O^
I loved his voice in his late work Summer Wars - it gave Kenji a cute and wonderful personality<3 and of course I like that he gets so many seiyuu roles lately, but soon I would like to watch him in a drama or movie again, because that's what he's best at! ^___^

For his future I hope he will try out some different kind of roles, than his normal cute ones. It would be great to watch him in a dark or bad boy role, or maybe someone extremely funny xD That's would be interesting ne? ^o^ But then again, he's best at the cute roles, but still, would be nice to see him change in character a bit ;D

Summer Wars

Last Saturday I went to CPH PIX Festival (Copenhagen Film Festival) together with my sister and watched Hosoda Mamoru's acclaimed anime production Summer Wars. A lot of people came (even some Japanese!) and we all had a great time in the cinema ;D

If you check one of my old posts, you know I've been eagerly waiting for this movie ever since news of it came out last year. Well, now I've finally watched it! ^O^ Woohuu!

I must say it was a really enjoyable movie! Of course I watched it because of Kamiki Ryunosuke to begin with (and heck did he do a good job!!) but the movie had so much more to offer! :O The animation was breathtakingly beautiful and the story itself was totally brilliant! The movie had so many funny scenes too, especially with the main character Kenji – and who doesn't love a little humor? ^ 3 ^ Some scenes were rather nerve-wracking too~ *O* But most importantly, the movie was exciting and entertaining all the way to the end :D Especially the scenes in the virtual world OZ were really fantastic! You just sat in the cinema and stared at the screen in amazement…( ! ) xD (Heh) Well I sure did! ^ ^

Well the story starts with Kenji (Kamiki Ryunosuke), a 17-year-old high school student, being asked by his crush Shinohara Natsuki (Sakuraba Nanami) to do a summer job for her. He accepts at once, and of they are to Natsuki's grandma's 90th birthday celebration far off in the countryside. When they arrive he finds out he is to pretend to be Natsuki's boyfriend and fiancée! xD This leads to a lot of funny incidents ^ o ^ (keke)

While all is going pretty well, Kenji suddenly receives a mysterious message from an anonymous sender. The message is a long row of numbers and Kenji logically thinks it's a math problem. Because he is quite a math genius he solves it on one night and suddenly the virtual world of OZ (a parallel world which all communication and data is handled) collapse, and the evil project 'Love Machine' has begun :O

Oh no! xD

Now Kenji holds the responsibility for saving the whole planet from world destruction xD That's a lot of responsibility! (Haha) But luckily he gets help from several members of the Jinnouchi family. Among them is Kazuma, a 13-year-old computer geek, who is better known as 'King Kazma' in the world of OZ – the unbeatable warrior xD

The first time we meet Kazuma I thought he was a girl XD His voice is so girly!! Probably to make it seem younger ^^ Still quite hard to get used to xD Still, he was a really cool character, very mature ^o^b Here's a piece of music from the soundtrack – you could call it Kazuma's theme ^ o ~ Love it!

As mentioned earlier, Kamiki did a great job at voice acting xD He really is one of my favorite Seiyuus! :D Even though his voice has become a little deeper it's still fantastically cute! He really made Kenji shine – I love him so much! <3 The other seiyuus were really good too. Very new and fresh ^ ^

I really loved the cute and funny ending ~ totally hilarious ~ and just perfect! xD When Kenji yelled "daisuki!!" I could just die happy<3 I won't say any more ;D You have to watch it for yourself ^ 3 ^

The movie is getting an UK release (by MANGA UK) this year's September, so If you haven't watched this movie yet – don't waste your time!! xD

Right now, I can't wait to watch Miyasaki's new movie: "The Borrower Arrietty" (Arrietty no Kagurashi) which is based on the English classic "The Borrowers" by Mary Norten and will premiere in Japan this summer! (21th of July)

‘SUMMER WARS’ (Booyah!)

It's finally here! The trailer for SUMMER WARS! I've waited eagerly for this, because Kamiki Ryunosuke is the seiyuu for the main character named Kenji Koiso XD It's Mamoru Hosoda who's the director, who also did "The Girl Who Leapt Through Time" Summer Wars is his newest movie and looks totally awsome! I watched a crappy version of the trailer some time ago (I think it was recorded in some kind of conference place) but now I can watch the real version ^O^

I had a hard time recognising Kamiki's voice, his voice has turned so deep :O But it's still cute ;D

Plot: When timid eleventh-grader and math genius Kenji Koiso (Kamiki) is asked by older student and secret crush Natsuki (Sakuraba) to come with her to her family’s Nagano home for a summer job, he agrees without hesitation. Natsuki’s family, the Jinnouchi clan, dates back to the Muromachi era (1336 to 1573), and they’ve all come together to celebrate the 90th birthday of the spunky matriarch of the family, Sakae. That’s when Kenji discovers his “summer job” is to pretend to be Natsuki’s fiance and dance with her at the birthday celebration. As Kenji attempts to keep up with Natsuki’s act around her family, he receives a strange math problem on his cell phone which, being a math genius, he can’t resist solving. As it turns out, the solution to the mysterious equation causes a bizarre parallel world to collide with Earth, and it’s up to Kenji and his new fake family to put reality back in order.

I think it sounds very interesting! XD I can't wait to watch this movie, but unfortunately I probably will have to wait a whole year before it becomes possible. You know, it takes some months for it to get on dvd, and then there's the subtitle work… Sigh -__-;

But if I'm lucky maybe it will be shown in Denmark too? :O (I know, totally not gonna happen..) BUT! I can always hope >:D heh heh

Little DJ

Yesterday I watched this great movie called Little DJ ~chiisana no monogatari~ with Kamiki Ryuunosuke and Fukada Mayuko XD I really loved it! But the ending was really sad, I cried a little, couldn't help it.

The story's about a 12-year-old boy named Takano Tarou (Kamiki) who suffers from a blood disease and gets hospitalized in a small town in Hokkaido (1977). In the little hospital the head physician gives Tarou the possibility of being DJ-host on the hospital's lunch broadcast. Tarou makes the life better for many of the patients with his youthful voice and 70'es j-pop music. A girl gets hospitalized after a car accident, who everyone call her "the mummy" because of all her bandages. But one day she is moved into the same room as Tarou and she introduces herself as Umino Tamaki (Fukuda). Tamaki is a charming and energetic girl and for Tarou it's love at first sight. But as there relationship begins to evolve, Tarou's disease gets worse. This is a true story of first love and heartfelt moments, but not to forget a sad one too.

I really liked the actors. Of course I watched the movie because of Kamiki-kun >w< hehe He's such an cute actor, My love for him has just kept growing since Tantei Gakuen Q. ^^ Fukada-san was really nice in this movie too. She's a very charming person like Kamiki-kun ^___^ You can just feel the nice chemistry between them, just look at the picture in the top XD kawaii

As you maybe had guessed from the title, this movie is about radio DJ-ing and music. The movie had a great music score, and I was able to find the soundtrack ^O^ yay
